The application process for Startup Dangal Season 2 typically involves several stages, aimed at selecting the most promising and innovative startups. Here’s an outline of the general application process:
STEPS to Participate in Season 2:
Stage 1: StartUp Screening
- Buy ticket of your choice online and submit your nomination. Selected 50 startups would be invited to present their company for screening.
- Screening would happen in 13 selected locations across India. Last date to file nomination is 24th Feb’2025.
- StartUp will get 5min screening stage to represent themselves in front of Jury (Investor/Mentor/Producer).
- Selected Startup will be invited for next round of competition at New Delhi during Startup Mahakumbh 5.0
Stage 2: Preperation
- Pre-Round Preperation

- Prepare an attractive video of 2 to 5min, pitching for Startup Dangal. Last date of video submission is 22nd March 2025. All videos will be uploaded on official YouTube channel of Startup Dangal on 23rdMarch’25. They can share video link to your clients and community.
- StartUp also need to prepare for showcasing their products/services at assigned booth in Startup Mahakumbh 5.0
- Pre-Round Preperation

- Top 150, most popular videos (Like and views) in each category of startups would be selected. Jury would also review all video pitch. Videos not popular but has good concept would also be selected by Jury.
- Startups would showcase their products/services at assigned booth.
Stage 2 (Pitch Presentation):
Selected top 75 startups to deliver a pitch presentation (5 min) to judges and a live audience at venue. Jury would select startups for final round on the basis of following criteria.
- Innovation and Uniqueness:How novel and groundbreaking is the startup's concept. Jury would like to check for solutions that address significant market needs or solve problems in novel ways.
- Market need and Impact Potential:Does the product or service address a significant and unmet need in the market. How significantly can the startup's solution impact the target audience or industry.
- Technical Feasibility:How realistic and well-developed is the technological solution or how best technologies has been used in products/services.
- Revenue Model and Scalability Potential:How startup is generating revenue and achieving sustainable growth. Can the business model be easily replicated and scaled to reach a larger audience.
- Market strategy:Does startup has a well-defined strategy to acquire customers.
- Progress and Traction:Has the startup already achieve any milestones or gained traction in the market
- Social Impact:How best startup has a positive social or environmental impact. They may evaluate factors such as sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and community engagement.
Stage 3: (Startup Dangal Debut)
- Rapid-fire:Random questions would be asked by the jury and check whether start-ups has understanding of their business and the ability to handle tough questions? StartUp need to answer quickly and gain the additional points.
- Start-ups would get chance to show innovation in their product/process during the Dangal.
- Jury would announce winner of Dangal based upon performance for each category
